At 42 km, the Gsieser Tal is one of the highlights of cross-country skiing in the Pustertal valley.
Through untouched nature, in the deepest winter, across white meadows and forests: the Gsieser Tal valley offers active holidaymakers a variety of exciting ski tours and relaxing snowshoe and winter hikes in the Dolomites World Natural Heritage region. Various hiking trails lead directly from our hotel into the Taistner winter world, which you can explore thanks to our free hiking map.
There is also plenty of tobogganing fun to be had in the Gsieser Tal valley. The natural toboggan run in Taisten is an insider tip. By pulling the toboggan uphill, you earn yourself a plate of South Tyrolean pressed dumplings or a traditional apple strudel in the Taistner Vorderalm before you race back down into the valley.
Exhilarating descents on the toboggan or the “Böckl” are also popular at night in the Pustertal valley and are the crowning finale of a perfect holiday day.
Whether it’s llama trekking in Taisten, ice skating and curling, a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride, paragliding or a visit to a Christmas market – there is so much to experience in our holiday region!
